1. Minimize the rapid cooling and heating of the mold as much as

rise from low temperature, the temperature difference increases, the mold
expansion and contraction increase, and the mold fatigue increases accordingly,
which will accelerate mold damage and shorten the mold life. Therefore, in die
casting production, continuous production should be tried as much as possible to
minimize the rapid cooling and heating of the mold, thereby extending the life

In addition, in the cold mold state, the mold does not
reach the temperature during normal production, and the gap between the mold
parts is relatively large. In this case, it is strictly prohibited to turn on
high-speed injection and pressurization. Otherwise, the gap parts of the mold,
including the slider, the jack hole, etc., can easily enter the aluminum skin,
thereby damaging the mold and affecting the life of the mold.

  
2. Reduce the injection speed as much as possible, reduce
the specific pressure as much as possible, and reduce the impact of the
mold.

In the production of die casting, the injection speed not only
affects the filling speed of the die casting and the injection gate speed, but
also the injection speed is high and the peak impact will increase. Therefore,
the injection speed is high, the injection gate speed is fast, the scouring of
the mold will increase, the peak impact will increase, the impact force of the
mold will increase, and the life of the mold will be greatly reduced. Therefore,
when adjusting the die-casting process, we should reduce the injection speed as
much as possible while ensuring product quality, which is very important for
improving the life of the mold and improving the economic benefits of the
die-casting enterprise. At present, advanced die-casting machines are equipped
with injection brake devices, which are very beneficial for reducing the peak
impact, reducing the impact force of the mold, and improving the life of the

The injection specific pressure in the die casting
process is also an important parameter. The injection specific pressure is
generally 400-900 kg/cm 2 according to the quality requirements and

on the internal quality of the casting. The injection pressure is too high,
which not only increases the expansion force of the mold, but also makes the
expansion force exceed the clamping force of the machine tool, causing aluminum
channeling. At the same time, if the mold is subjected to a large expansion
force, it will also damage the mold or shorten the life of the mold. Therefore,
in the production of die-casting, we should pay more attention to the specific
injection pressure than the injection speed. Because the injection specific
pressure is not as easy to observe as the injection speed, it is often ignored.
In fact, the injection specific pressure is an important parameter in the die
casting process, which not only affects the quality of the casting, but also has

3. The encapsulation and aluminum skin should be cleaned up
in time when the mold is used to prevent the mold from being crushed.

  
In the use of molds, molds and aluminum skins often appear
for various reasons. At this time, they must be cleaned in time, otherwise the
mold will be broken if the production continues. Especially in the slider part,
if the slideway enters the aluminum skin, etc., due to the very large clamping
force of the die casting machine, the slider will be collapsed and squeezed.
Therefore, when encountering such problems, the mold must be cleaned in time,
and the cause must be found to repair the mold in time. Otherwise, the
maintenance of the mold will be seriously affected if the mold is

4. Reduce the molten aluminum pouring temperature as much
as possible to increase the service life of the mold.

  
The molten aluminum pouring temperature during die casting
production not only affects the quality of castings, but also affects the
service life of die casting molds. In general die casting, the molten aluminum
pouring temperature is between 630 degrees and 720 degrees. For different parts,
when we choose the casting temperature, we should try to choose a lower one,
which not only saves energy, but also prolongs the service life of the die
casting mold. Because the higher the temperature of the molten aluminum, the
greater the erosion of the mold, the larger the temperature range of the mold,
the greater the thermal expansion and contraction, the greater the fatigue of
the mold, and the easier it is to damage. Therefore, appropriately reducing the
molten aluminum pouring temperature is beneficial to prolong the service life of
die casting molds.

  
5. Strengthen the maintenance of the mold, regular
maintenance, and regular tempering and stress relief of the mold
cavity.

  
Die casting molds have been continuously produced under
high pressure, high speed, and high temperature, and the use conditions are
relatively harsh. The mold will cause damage or hidden troubles during use.
Therefore, it is very important to strengthen the maintenance of the mold,
regularly maintain the mold, replace the damaged parts, replace the consumable
parts, clean the slideway, the hole of the ejector rod, etc., to ensure the
reliability of the mold in the production of die casting. Extend the service
